Call to Action: Student Positions with the ACOP

The ACOP welcomes and celebrates active involvement from our student members at all levels of the organization. If you are a current member of your school’s chapter of the ACOP and are looking for ways to get involved, take a look at all of the positions we are looking to fill for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Positions range from helping to increase the organization’s social media presence to sitting on the CME Committee to help plan one of our excellent conferences. These are all great ways to get involved on a broader scale, as well as to gain firsthand experience in planning CME events, discussing health policy, and advocating for our profession and our patients. A short description of each position as well as criteria and instructions for applying can all be found below.

- ACOP Student Trustee: We will be selecting one current second year (Class of 2023) osteopathic medical student to serve on the ACOP Board of Trustees for the 2021-2023 term. Position details and application requirements can be found at this link.
- ACOP Intern Trustee: We will be selecting one graduating (Class of 2021) osteopathic medical student who will be entering into a pediatric residency summer of 2021. This individual would serve as ACOP Intern Trustee for the 2021-2022 school year and as ACOP Resident Trustee for the 2022-2024 school years. - Social Media Co-Chair: Currently the ACOP has social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. We are looking for a student to help us build our advocacy on these platforms and assist in managing these sites. Details regarding this position can be found here.
- PULSE Student Editor: The quarterly PULSE Newsletter is looking for a current first, second, or third year student to help compile and edit articles. This individual would be working with student members to develop the student editions of the PULSE and with our Communications Committee to coordinate development and content of each article. - CME Student Co-Chair Fall Conference 2021: We will be selecting one current first, second, or third year student to serve on the ACOP CME Committee to help develop and plan material for the 2021 Fall Conference. Additionally, as student co-chair you will help plan some of the student content for the conference. This position requires 1-2 meetings per month. Previous conference attendance is recommended.
