Welcome to a new year full of promise and potential! As the vaccination process unfolds, we have the hope for a healthier 2021!
The devastation of the past year and the development of an effective vaccine reminds me of the importance of what we do as pediatricians every day. The vaccines that we administer on a daily basis once caused severe illness and death in children. We are fortunate to live in a time when public health and science have enabled us to protect the lives of the children in our care.
As you care for the children and families in your practice, remember to take care of yourself. Spend time in nature, read a good book, cook a nourishing meal or learn a new hobby. If you need help to care for yourself, please ask! There are many resources available. Here is one that may be helpful:

I can’t wait to see you all in person! ACOP is planning another stellar virtual conference this spring with the hope to meet again in person in spring of 2022 for a conference in Destin, Florida. Looking forward to the sun, sand and fellowship!
