ACOP Educational Programming Updates
The American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP) Board of Trustees and CME Committee have been working diligently to make sound decisions regarding our educational programming that reflect the best interests of our individual members and the College as a whole. The ongoing spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a serious concern for us all. The health and safety of the ACOP community and our patients is our highest priority. Many of the institutions have established policies preventing their staff from traveling through the end of the calendar year. Additionally, some facilities have reduced payroll and funds for education.
OMED 2020
Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, along with the uncertainty of a second COVID-19 wave, the ACOP Board of Trustees has made the decision that ACOP will not participate in OMED 2020 in Austin, TX, October 16-19, 2020. ACOP will not offer pediatric specific programming for OMED 2020.
Virtual Conference
The ACOP CME Committee is working on plans for our first ACOP Virtual Conference, to be held November 7-8, 2020 and December 5-6, 2020. The virtual conference will feature content from our cancelled Spring Conference, as well as content planned for OMED 2020. Registrants will earn AOA Category 1A credits for participating in the virtual conference. We are very excited to provide outstanding content to you virtually!
ACOP-AAP SOOPe Joint Conference - April 2021
Mark your calendars! The ACOP and the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Osteopathic Pediatricians (AAP SOOPe) will present a joint conference, April 8-11, 2021 at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort near Destin, FL. Planning for the joint conference will start this month.
