As we continue to adjust our daily routines during these unprecedented times, many of us have turned to digital sources for keeping up to date on the latest news and educational opportunities. You need to look no further than this very organization to see that shift as we prepare for our first ever all virtual CME offering this coming November and December.
As the ACOP continues to evolve in these times we are extremely excited to introduce a new feature available to you as a valued member; the new ACOP PedsCast podcast series! These brief podcast episodes will be hosted and edited by Jason Jackson, DO, FACOP, the Chairperson of the Communications and Advocacy Committee, and will have guests from all areas of pediatric healthcare. This periodic podcast series will focus on issues important to Osteopathic Pediatricians in all stages of training from medical school to practicing physician, as well as special editions geared towards parents that you can share as part of your everyday counseling. Topics will include board relevant reviews sessions, current events within the ACOP community, as well as a look at public health as part of our Diversity Round Table series, and many more.
Episodes are already being recorded and edited for publication and will initially be posted in the open areas of the acopeds.org website before transitioning to the Members Only section after a free trial period. They will be available for download and to play on your podcast platform of choice so that you can take them with you in your car, on your run or anywhere else you like to listen to your favorite podcasts. If you have commenst, questionsor requests or if you would be interested in being a guest on a future episode, contact the production team at Pedscast@ACOPeds.org and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
This podcast series has been a long-time goal for the Communications and Advocacy Committee, and we are extremely excited to begin rolling out episodes for you to enjoy. Our ultimate goal is to make this a valuable resource for members of the ACOP community created by members of the ACOP community. Please do not hesitate to contact the team for further information on how you can get involved!
