Parental Usage of Time-Outs, Revisited

In a recent issue of the PULSE, Arnold Melnick, DO, highlighted the need to properly teach parents how to use time-outs . An article in Academic Pediatrics, further highlights this issue. In this study of 401 parents, 85% used at least one time out technique that is counterproductive and two-thirds used multiple incorrect techniques.
