Editor Steps Down
Robert G. Locke, DO, MPH, FACOP Retires as PULSE Editor

Dr. Robert Locke will be stepping down as Editor in Chief of PULSE following 12 years of service. His expertise, vision and attention to detail have been highly valued as ACOP has moved from print to the digital age.
Dr. Locke began his work with the Fall 2004 issue of PULSE, serving as Associate Editor with Gregory Garvin, DO, FACOP until the Spring 2007 issue. Dr. Locke then became Co-Editor with Dr. Arnold Melnick through the Summer 2010 publication. Since then, Dr. Locke has served as Editor in Chief, with Dr. Melnick serving as Editor Emeritus. Many hours were volunteered by him to ensure that ACOP continually received a quality publication.
In addition to contributing his own articles, Dr. Locke organized each issue, gathered articles from many other contributors, spent countless hours proof reading the submissions and helped the ACOP staff follow up on deadlines for a timely release. During his tenure, PULSE was transformed from a printed publication to an electronic PDF and then to a mobile responsive newsletter easily read on phones and tablets. From Associate Editor to Editor in Chief, Dr. Locke has been actively involved with 50 issues of the newsletter. He will certainly be missed.
The ACOP membership and staff thank Dr. Locke for his tireless efforts and wish him well in his future endeavors.
