The ACOP eJournal welcomes the submission of papers in the following categories.
Original Contributions
Documentation of original clinical or applied research. The ACOP eJournal will accept basic scientific research only if the work has specific clinical applications.
Reviews
Detailed, critical surveys of published research relevant to clinical problems. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses are preferred and will receive a higher publication priority.
Clinical Practice Articles
Expert critical viewpoints with practical applications for osteopathic physicians.
Brief Reports
Substantive but brief documentation of clinical information, early-phase investigation, theoretical concepts, clinical "pearls," and similar scholarly insights.
Case Reports
Clinical presentations with newly recognized or rarely reported features or with strong relevance to osteopathic medicine.
Medical Education Articles
Articles on undergraduate, graduate, and continuing osteopathic medical education.
Special Communication Articles
Informed commentaries, hypotheses, and surveys on medical and other scientific topics, including controversial issues.
Student Contributions
An article that falls into any of the preceding categories written by osteopathic medical students, interns, or residents, including undergraduate and graduate research fellows. |
