The ACOP Mentorship Program
The ACOP has identified the importance of and great need for a strong mentorship within our college, especially given the current and future landscape of osteopathic pediatric practice. Recognizing this need, it is our goal to create and implement a formal mentorship program through the college. We have thus created an ACOP Mentorship Collaboration to serve as a platform for pairing mentees and mentors who have similar career aspirations and experience.
We are seeking mentors from all levels, medical student to long term practicing physician who are accessible, positive role models wanting to guide the future generation of our college. An ideal mentee will be committed, engaged, and respectful with a desire to learn more about becoming and practicing as an osteopathic pediatrician. The commitment in either role is completely up to the participant and pairing and may be involved as frequently or infrequently as both members prefer to be. If you are interested in either role, you will find a very quick form here to submit your information.
We encourage you to take advantage of this program and are confident that it will be a rewarding experience. It is our hope that mentees and mentors will be able to meet at OMED this October and ACOP will send out details as the conference approaches. With this being a novel program, we are open to any and all feedback and suggestions for this collaboration, and thank you in advance for your involvement!
