PULSE Changes Coming

It’s hard to imagine that the first quarter of 2018 is now behind us. The past three months have in many ways gone by too quickly, leaving me to wonder what I accomplished. My New Year’s resolutions have long been replaced by work commitments. However, my desire to improve in some meaningful way remains. And, I want to thank the ACOP team for having a similar goal.
Starting with the next issue of the PULSE, you will see some changes.
- Focus on Members: We welcome updates from our members. Students should let us know about both individual accomplishments and chapter achievements. Residents and fellows should let us know as they complete training and begin new jobs. We also want to share information about publications, presentations, and other recognitions that our members have received.
- Professional Issues: As our profession grows and changes, we will be providing updates on important issues such as AOA Board Certification, changes in residency positions, CME changes, and state licensing changes. This helps us all keep track of the issues that affect us every day.
- Hot Topic in Pediatric Care: As a professional medical organization, we will provide a journal article excerpt on a topic of importance. This may tie to our social media theme, allowing us to “discuss” new evidence in diagnosis and management of key pediatric conditions.
