Join us at the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP) Pediatric Track at the AOA OMED 2018 conference, October 5-9, 2018 in San Diego, CA. We are excited to present interesting current and up-to-date pediatric topics from specialists within their field.  The pediatric track will offer 24.5 AOA 1A CME credits.

We have specialists in neonatology, infectious disease, nephrology, ear, nose and throat, dermatology and others.  Our goal is to provide the most current, practical, and up-to-date pediatric topics that will be useful for pediatricians and family medicine physicians to incorporate into clinical practice.

Our perinatal/neonatal track will start on Friday afternoon and continue on Saturday morning, addressing topics such as perinatal viral infections, neonatal resuscitation, gastrointestinal disorders in newborns and transfusion therapy in newborns. The general pediatric program will be presented on Saturday and Monday and will address topics such as Kawasaki disease, complement deficiencies, guidelines for high blood pressure in children, and current issues in allergy/immunology, infectious disease, nephrology, ENT and much more.

ACOP has also worked diligently to co-sponsor several presentations with our colleagues in family medicine, psychiatry, neurology, osteopathic medicine and dermatology.  We will join the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) for a joint session on immunizations on Sunday morning and for a joint session on dermatology on Tuesday morning. There will be a joint OMT session on Sunday afternoon with the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO) and the American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists (ACONP).   What a golden opportunity we have to work closely with other osteopathic specialists and pediatrics to make this a premiere osteopathic medical meeting for you to attend.

Be sure to take advantage of all OMED has to offer and attend a lunch and learn session, the opening session and reception, OMED Festival and reconnect with your former medical school colleagues by attending alumni events.

The ACOP CME committee proudly invites residents, interns, students and student chapters to attend and become acquainted with their future colleagues, plus hopefully take home some updated information to amaze their faculty and fellow trainees.

There is something for everyone, including the beautiful San Diego weather and beaches. Plan to join your Osteopathic Pediatric colleagues for a great time in California.

We are honored to be the program directors for this year’s OMED pediatric section.
