This issue of The PULSE is stimulating and unique. Our osteopathic students and pediatric residents have solicited and submitted the majority of the articles. It is exciting to have them as active participants in our college.
Reflections of the past include ACOP’s 2019 Spring Conference in April in Pittsburgh. The conference brought together 111 medical students and residents. The students and residents had their own motivating learning track. Twenty-three posters were presented. The more “senior” members of the college benefited from the robust educational offerings and enjoyed what Pittsburgh had to offer.
Additional opportunities for learning and networking included OMED 2019, October 24-28 in Baltimore, Maryland. I enjoyed seeing many of you were there to take part in the educational program provided by the ACOP and the wider osteopathic community. Baltimore’s Inner Harbor was a great location for the fall meeting.
ACOP will convene this spring in Colorado Springs, Colorado on April 30-May 3, 2020. The conference will be held at The Broadmoor which is a five-star resort. This will be an amazing meeting in a fabulous location. Bring the family along for this late spring meeting in picturesque Colorado. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
As we review the accomplishments of our students and residents, please keep the PRES Fund in mind. The PRES Fund supports Pediatric Research and Education for Students. It is a mechanism to encourage student research and facilitate attendance at the spring conference.
Please support the future osteopathic pediatricians. I encourage all ACOP members to make a contribution to this fund.
