Please join us at the ACOP Pediatric Track at the OMED 2019 conference October 24-28, 2019 in Baltimore, Maryland.  This year, the ACOP CME Committee has created a fantastic program designed to provide you with a second-to-none educational experience.  The program will focus on the latest neonatal and pediatric topics and offer more than 30 AOA Category 1A CME credits.

We kick off our program on Thursday, October 24 with a joint afternoon session with the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) focusing on developmental milestones, eating disorders, and childhood nutrition and obesity.  Friday brings us a full day of pediatric topics with world renowned speakers from the Kennedy Krieger Institute.  Topics will include failure to thrive, metabolic disorders and autism, autistic spectrum disorders and motor learning issues, and X-linked neurodevelopmental disorders. Our neonatal lecture series will touch on palliative care for newborns, neonatal abstinence syndrome and complex congenital heart disease.  As the weekend progresses, we will be introduced to the latest updates in acute flaccid myelitis, systemic lupus erythematosus and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, pediatric ophthalmology and pediatric dental development.

We will also have multiple joint sessions with the ACOFP, AAO (American Academy of Osteopathy), ACONP (American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists), AOAAM (American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine), AOASM (American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine), and AOA Public Health.  These sessions will address such topics as adverse childhood experiences, immunization practices and concussion. We will also be part of a conference-wide physician and patient wellness day program on Monday.  It is sure to be an exciting weekend!

The ACOP is also committed to the education of future generations of physicians.  We are happy to invite all students and residents to come and experience all that OMED has to offer.
